Softball
The Trenton Middle School girls softball team defeated Marceline on Monday night, 15-0.
The Lady Bullpups took control early, scoring two in the first inning, two in the second inning and seven in the third inning. Lindsey Derry led the offense with two hits, including a single and a double, while Rebekah Capeder, Cydney Ferguson, Ellen Stevenson and Crista Tate each had a single.
The “B” team lost to Marceline, 4-3. The TMS girls host Princeton tonight.
Volleyball
The Trenton Middle School girls volleyball teams dropped a pair of matches at Cameron on Monday.
The A team fell to Cameron, 22-25 and 7-25. Shanna Baker had nine service points. In the B game, Trenton lost, 5-25 and 17-25. Camry Holsted had six service points.
The Lady Bullpups play Chillicothe on Tuesday, Oct. 10.
