THS Teams In Action At Home
The Lady Bulldog tennis team blanked St. Joseph Benton in the varsity match, 9-0, and in the junior varsity match, 9-1.
“The team played well,” Tennis Coach Mike Bosley said. “We are getting more consistent and that adds up to winning more points, games and matches.”
Trenton’s varsity golf team finished second in a quad meet at the Riverside Country Club. THS finished with a team score of 208, which was enough to get by Putnam County, 270, and Schuyler County, 275 but was 12 strokes behind Richmond, which took first with a 196.

THS Golf
Varsity
The Richmond Lady Spartans finished with three girls scoring under 50 as they won the day.
“We still need to work on eliminating those two or three really bad holes to become more consistent in our scoring,” Head Golf Coach Ann Constant said.
The Lady Bulldogs had a tough time on the first and ninth holes. It took 81 strokes for Trenton’s five varsity players to finish those two holes.
The Lady Bulldogs carded three 10s, two nines and two eights.
Richmond’s Katie Flamank was the medalist with a score of 46. Katherine Hoffman turned in Trenton’s low round with a score of 50.
“I felt like Katherine Hoffman and Molly Holeman both played well,” Constant said.
Holeman carded a triple bogey on one but then recovered to shoot a respectable round of 51. Taylor Cox also struggled on the first hole, but came back and shot a 53.
“Taylor had a couple of bad holes, but other than that, she had a decent round,” Constant said.
Hadley Jennings shot a 54 and Aaron Smith shot a 60, but her score did not count in the final team total.
“Hadley had a couple of rough holes and I know she was disappointed with her score, but that happens some days,” Constant said. “I’m sure she will bounce back and will have better rounds coming up.”
Lisa Hodges led Putnam County with a scored 55 and Kaylee Wood shot a 60. Schuyler County was led by Stephanie Mauch with a 63.
The THS golf team travels to the Brookfield Tournament on Thursday.
