The Trenton High School girls varsity softball team lost at Gallatin on Tuesday afternoon. The Lady Bulldogs fell in extra innings, 3-2.

Trenton could not overcome five errors, including one that allowed the winning run to score in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Gallatin scored the game’s first run in the bottom of the second inning. Gallatin increased its lead in the bottom of the third to 2-0.
Trenton scored a pair of runs in the top of the fifth inning on a two-out single by Samantha Fair.
The Lady Bulldogs had another scoring chance in the top of the sixth, but Trisha Ireland was thrown out at home plate.
Gallatin scored on error in the bottom of the eighth inning and handed the Lady Bulldogs their 11 loss of the season.
Ireland finished her day with a pair of singles and a triple. Tiffany Brewer had a single and scored a run. Brittany Lynch had a single while Crystal Pash stole a base and scored a run. Fair had a single and two RBIs.
Aubrey Utley took the loss, going eight innings and allowing six hits, three runs and striking out four batters.
The junior varsity lost 2-1 to Gallatin.
Trenton’s busy week continues on Thursday at Cameron and then the Lady Bulldogs travel to the Mid-Buchanan Tournament on Saturday.
