Beulah M. Mason, a 101-year-old resident of Milan, died at 3:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006 at the Sullivan County Memorial Hospital in Milan .
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006 at the Payne Funeral Home in Galt. Doug Fairley will officiate.
A family visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Mason was born on April 24, 1905 in Osgood, the daughter of Daniel Marion and Lura Elizabeth Wolf Taylor. She graduated in 1927 from Harris High School. She was married on May 15, 1927 to Chester Marion Mason, who preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 1991.
She was a member of the WPFA, the Milan Methodist Church and the Harris Extension Club and was involved in 4-H activities. She enjoyed quilting, crafts and gardening.
She is survived by two sons, Max Mason and his wife, Lois, of Harris, and Carl Mason and his wife, Josie, of China; two daughters, Etta Jean Crawford of Oxford, OH and Gayla Carter and her husband, Bernard, of Chillicothe; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers; one granddaughter, Sara Jane Mason; and one great-granddaughter, Katie Brooke Mason.
