Marilyn Sue Love, a 60-year-old resident of Chillicothe, died on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2006 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006 at the St. Columbans Catholic Church in Chillicothe. Father Tom Hermes was the celebrant.
The crossbearer and servers were Alex Thompson, Andrew Jones and Blake Rasmussen. Brenda Lauhoff was the organist. Louise Tate was the soloist. Music included “Amazing Grace”, “Just a Closer Walk With Thee”, “How Great Thou Art” and “You Are Mine.”
Pallbearers were Aaron Manning, Jacob McCoy, Ronald Perry, Bill Basch, Brian Basch and Jerry Seig.
Burial was in the St. Columbans Catholic Cemetery, under the direction of the Lindley Funeral Home at Chillicothe.
Mrs. Love was born on June 19, 1946 in Great Falls, MT, the daughter of James and Marie McKerrow McCoy. She was a graduate of Chillicothe High School and attended Marshall College. She was married on Sept. 16, 1965 at the St. Columbans Catholic Church in Chillicothe to James Love, who survives of the home.
She was a member of the St. Columbans Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, swimming, shopping and spending time with her three grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Jason Love of Ft. Bragg, NC: one daughter, Lisa Manning and her husband, Harold Jr., of Chillicothe; two brothers, Dennis McCoy of Chillicothe and Kevin McCoy and his wife, Brenda; one brother-in-law, Galen Love and his wife, Judy, of Cameron; one aunt, Ruth McKerrow of Chillicothe; three grandchildren, Aaron Audrie and Kyler Manning of Chillicothe; four nieces; and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Jenelle McCoy.
