The Trenton High School girls tennis team improved to 4-2 overall with a win over Cameron on Thursday afternoon. The Lady Bulldogs defeated the Lady Dragons at the THS Tennis Courts, 7-2.

Singles (4-2)
The Lady Bulldogs went 4-2 in singles play. THS picked up wins at number one, number three, number five and number six singles
Elizabeth Hoffman got things going for THS with a tiebreak win at number one. She defeated Emily Funk, 9-8 (9-7 tiebreak).
“Liz played for one hour and 45 minutes to win a hard-fought number one singles match in a 9-7 tiebreak,” Head Coach Mike Bosley said. “Our singles play stayed right on track and our doubles play stepped in for a convincing 7-2 win.”
Brandi Thorne defeated Holly Fenton at number three singles, 8-2. Falisha Anderson earned a win over Amber Nelson at number five, 8-4. Lindsay Creason also picked up a win at number six, defeating Simone Dishman, 8-2.
“Brandi, Falisha and Lindsay are all playing very consistent singles,” Bosley said.
Bobbie Lovell lost her match at number two singles to Kylie Parks, 3-8. Kimby Brown also lost her singles match to Kelsey Salmon, 4-8.
Doubles (3-0)
Hoffman-Lovell won their number one doubles match over Funk-Salmon, 8-3.
Thorne-Brown knocked off Parks-Fenton at number two doubles, 8-3. Anderson-Creason completed the sweep in doubles play by beating Nelson-Dishman, 8-4.
“The doubles team of Hoffman-Lovell and Thorne-Brown were impressive,” Bosley said.
The Lady Bulldogs host the Trenton Quad on Saturday.

Mackenzie Hall defeated Holli Scott, 6-0.
Ciara Gibson defeated Holli Scott, 6-3.
Lindsey Dustman defeated Laura Thompson, 6-0.
Ashley Bramblett defeated Erika Baker, 6-0.
Phoebe Kitchen defeated Jeana Pickard, 6-0.
Vanessa Williams defeated Valerie Neal, 6-1.
Kristin Geib lost to Neal, 3-6.

Ellen Knapp-Callie Bacon defeated Scott-Lackey, 6-1.
Bailey Eaton-Stephanie Bramblett lost to Thompson-Pickard, 6-8.
Michelle Gay-Paige DeVorss defeated Baker-Neal, 6-0.
Mercedes Barron-Chelsi Miller defeated Scott Lakey, 6-0.
Savannah Hanson-Shawna Lober lost to Thompson-Pickard, 6-8.
Shelby Muff-Lauren Gray lost to Baker-Neal, 3-6.
“We played 13 junior varsity matches and they are showing good improvement,” Bosley said.
