The Power Points football contest sponsored by the Republican-Times and local businesses will begin next week. An entry form will be in Tuesday’s newspaper and needs to be turned into the participating businesses by 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7.

$1,000 is awarded each week to the winner of all participating newspapers in the Midlands region and the high point winner of the local contest receives a $30 cash prize. Sponsors of the contest where entries can be placed are Barnes Baker Automotive, Easter’s True Value, Farmers Bank of Northern Missouri and Trenton Hy-Vee.
