Helen Grace Shandrew, an 84-year-old resident of Princeton, died on Friday, Aug. 18, 2006 at her home in Princeton.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 25, 2006 at the Princeton United Methodist Church. Pastor Robin Banion will officiate under the direction of the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Service of Princeton. Burial will be in the Coon Cemetery, southeast of Princeton.
Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006 at the Greenlee Middleton Funeral Chapel in Princeton, where a family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.
Mrs. Shandrew was born on Nov. 30, 1921 in Mercer County, the daughter of Rollie B. and Bertha Mae Bloom Russell. She attended grade school in Princeton and graduated from Princeton High School. She was employed by Trenton Foods in Trenton for 25 years, retiring in 1987.
She was married on Oct. 14, 1939 to Earl Shandrew, who preceded her in death on May 24, 1992. They lived on their farm south of Princeton for the first part of their married life, moving to Princeton after a fire destroyed their farm home.
She was a member of the Princeton United Methodist Church, where she was active in the women’s circle and was also a member of the Jolly Workers Club.
She is survived by a daughter, Earlene Klein and her husband, Eric, of Point Pleasant, NJ; four grandchildren, Tanya Tindol of St. Petersburg, FL, Mona Gawroniak and her husband, Peter, of Plainsboro, NJ, Jason Klein of Manheim, PA and E.J. Morgan of Pinellas Park, FL; six grandchildren, Jacob Tindol, Aimee, Annie and Matthew Gawroniak, Katherine Morgan and Nathan Hammond; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a daughter, Teri Lynn Morgan in 2004; an infant daughter, Sharon Sue Shandrew; an infant son, Rodney Joe Shandrew; and four brothers, Joe, Earl, Rollie B. and Bert Russell.
The family suggests memorials to the Princeton United Methodist Church. They may be left at or mailed to the church at 804 E. Main St., Princeton, MO 64673.
