Mrs. Lora Beddingfield, a 77-year-old former resident of 1800 Cherry Lane in Trenton, died at 8:50 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, where she had resided since January 2003.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006 at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. There is no scheduled family visitation. General visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 21, 2006. The body will be cremated.
Mrs. Beddingfield was born on Oct. 11, 1928 at McComas, WV, the daughter of Ernest and Vivian Cox East. She was married on Feb. 19, 1945 to Teddy J. Grose. He preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1997. Later she was married to John Beddingfield, who also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Beddingfield was employed as a waitress for many years in various restaurants in communities where she lived. She had lived in West Virginia, the Chicago area and Florida before settling in Trenton to be near her family.
She is survived by four daughters, Nancy, now Mrs. Jose Barron of Trenton, Nita, now Mrs. Al Miller of Kansas City, Ramona, now Mrs. Chuck Luzell of Freeport, IL and Ragina, now Mrs. Bill Vesely of Thomson, IL; a brother, James East of Princeton, WV; a sister, Katherine Fiffer of Coldwater, OH; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Teddy Grose, five brothers and one sister.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association.
