Hollis James Orr, an 83-year-old resident of Salisbury, died on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at the Moberly Regional Medical Center in Moberly. He was the brother of Hazel Keen of Trenton.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2006 at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury. Rev. Nathan Argent officiated. Burial was in the Eastlawn Memory Garden. The Missouri Honor Team provided military graveside rites.
Mr. Orr was born on Oct. 1, 1922 in Salisbury, the son of Harry Wilson and Mary Alice White Orr. He was married on May 2, 1945 in Lawton, OK, to Anita Lee Harris, who survives of the home. He was a lifelong area resident and served in the U.S. Army during World War II, receiving an honorable discharge. He belonged to the National Rifleman’s Association and the Cleve Iman VFW Post No. 4926 in Keytesville. He owned and operated Orr Truck Lines and worked as the market manager for MFA hog facilities for 27 years.
In addition to his wife and sister, he is survived by a son, Paul Stephen Orr of Memphis, TN; a daughter, Pamela Meyer of Jefferson City; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Helen Vasser.
Mrs. Keen and her daughter, Sharon Ferris of Trenton, attended the services on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.
