Edgar A. Nolke, an 86-year-old resident of Glasgow, died on Friday, June 9, 2006 at his home. He was the father of Greg Nolke of Trenton.

Edgar A. Nolke, an 86-year-old resident of Glasgow, died on Friday, June 9, 2006 at his home. He was the father of Greg Nolke of Trenton.
A funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. on (Monday, June 12, 2006 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Glasgow. Father Mike Pern officiated. Burial was in the Washington Cemetery at Glasgow. Pallbearers were Dan and Jeremy Hueser, Justin and Derek Nolke, Robert and Pat Schreiber and Colin Littleton.
Mr. Nolke was born on Sept. 29, 1919 near Gilliam, the son of George and Lenora Jane Taylor Nolke. He was married on Sept. 11, 1943 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Glasgow to Esther Arens, who survives of the home.
He worked for the Glasgow Co-Op for 38 years. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and served on the Glasgow Fire Department and Park Board for a number of years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Victoria Hueser, and her husband, Harold, of Eudora, KS and Brenda Littleton and her husband, Clifford, of Glasgow; three sons, Rick Nolke and his wife, Wanda, of Cincinnati, Steve Nolke and his wife, Becky, of Salisbury, and Greg Nolke and his wife, Kathy, of Trenton; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Genevieve Meyer of Glasgow.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Henry and Eugene; one sister, Marie Colson; and one great-grandson, Matthew Hueser.
