Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at the Pilot Grove No. 1 Cemetery, northwest of Jamesport. Rev. Bret Smith will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jeff Ramey, J.D. Ramey, Thad Currier, Tim Jenkins and Michael Sweaney.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Roberson Funeral Home at Bethany, where a general visitation will begin after 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
Mrs. Gates was married on Dec. 25, 1936 to Daniel G. Gates, who preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 2003.
She is survived by three sons, George Gates and his wife, Barbara, of Bethany, Richard Gates and his wife, Jean, of Naples, FL and James Gates and his wife, Janice, of Jamesport; two grandsons, Jeff Ramey of Bethany and Danny Gates of Grenoble, France; four granddaughters, Kim Currier and her husband, Thad, of Des Moines, IA, Jennifer Sweaney and her husband, Michael, of Kansas City, Lindsey Jenkins and her husband, Tim, of Lathrop, and Stacey Gates of Jamesport; three great-grandsons; five great-granddaughters; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family has suggested memorials to the Pilot Grove No. 1 Cemetery. They may be left at or mailed to the Roberson Funeral Home, PO Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
