Memorial services for Dorothy Louise Ford will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2006 at the First Christian Church in Trenton.

Mrs. Ford, a 90-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 6:55 a.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at the Wright Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since Friday, May 5, 2006.

Mrs. Ford was born on March 2, 1916 in St. Joseph, the daughter of Harvey and Offie Perrine Laird. She graduated from Trenton High School and Trenton Junior College and attended William Jewell College in Liberty. She was married on June 19, 1933 in Trenton to Lawrence Edward Ford, who preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1984. She was very active in and a lifetime member of the First Christian Church. She served as state secretary of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, later known as the UTU, as well as being a member of the Eastern Star and Riverside Country Club. She enjoyed going to her farm, which had been in her family for many generations, and fishing.

She is survived by one son, Mike Ford and his wife, Lynn, of Albuquerque, NM; two grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

The family suggests memorials to the First Christian Church or the American Heart Association.
