Cecil R. Wise, a 55-year-old resident of Spickard, died at 2:40 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, where he had been a patient for six days.

Cecil R. Wise, a 55-year-old resident of Spickard, died at 2:40 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, where he had been a patient for six days.
The body was cremated. A private family service will be held at a later date. Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home at Trenton is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Wise was born on Sept. 21, 1950 in Gilman City, the son of Rufford and Ruby Hancock Wise. He worked at Lamoni Products in Lamoni, IA and at ConAgra Foods and an auto body shop. He also worked as an electrician and plumber. He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Bethany.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Wise, of the home at Spickard; two sons, John Wise of the home and Cecil Wise Jr. of Kansas City; one daughter, Trena Wise of the home; two step-sons, Brent Pettit of Cameron and Derek Springer of Laclede; one step-daughter, Karla Constable of Cameron; one brother, Fred Wise of Bethany; five sisters, Goldie Ragan of Trenton, Jean Ragan of Trenton, Barbara Chriswell of Trenton, Roseta Parkhurst of Blythedale and Doris West of Bedford, IA; four step-grandchildren, John and Hannah Springer of Laclede, Misty Demsich of Trenton and Ashley Pettit of Bethany; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one niece, Regena Alley.
