Administrative Committee Meets
The Administrative Committee of the Trenton City Council made recommended changes to the city’s summer street program and discussed prohibiting parking on Mariner Road.
City Clerk Cindy Simpson said the committee will recommend that the council approve changes in the street program to include elimination of work on Harris Avenue, between Ninth Street and Johnson Drive, as well as work planned in the Scott and Haddox addition. Mrs. Simpson said that sewer work is planned in the Scott and Haddox addition and it was decided to wait on any road work until that project was completed.
Added to the street program were Ridgeway Street, from Second to Seventh; Moberly Street, from 13th Street to Crowder Road; Main Street, from Crowder Road to Ninth Street; East 23rd Street, from Princeton Road to Webster Street; and Crowder Road, from Moberly Street to west of the city limits.
Following discussion of parking concerns on Mariner Road with Carolyn Garcia, the committee agreed to meet with Trenton Lake Association officials concerning a gate that is being placed at the public dock area before taking any action regarding elimination of parking in that area.
