Phillip Jay Flowers, a 27-year-old resident of Melbourne, died on Sunday afternoon, April 16, 2006 at his home.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2006 at the Edinburg IOOF Cemetery. Open visitation will begin after noon on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. There is no scheduled family visitation.
Mr. Flowers was born on Jan. 13, 1979 at Trenton, the son of Harmon and Vicky Hughs Flowers. He was raised in the Melbourne area and graduated from Gilman City High School. He was married on Nov. 25, 2004 at the Coon Creek Baptist Church to Cindy Brown, who survives of the home. He was employed in the construction business, doing masonry work. He was a good father and enjoyed taking his step-son, Josiah, fishing. He attended the Coon Creek and Melbourne Baptist churches.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his parents, Harmon and Vicky Flowers; a step-son, Josiah Brown; and a brother, Scott Flowers, all of Melbourne.
The family suggests memorials to the funeral home for final expenses.
