Danielle Nicole Sorrells, a 13-year-old resident of Chillicothe, died on Friday, March 24, 2006 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia after a long battle with leukemia.

Danielle Nicole Sorrells, a 13-year-old resident of Chillicothe, died on Friday, March 24, 2006 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia after a long battle with leukemia.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at the Edgewood Cemetery in Chillicothe. A family visitation will be held from 4 to 6 o’clock tonight (Monday, March 27, 2006) at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe. General visitation will be until 6 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
Danielle was born on June 9, 1992, the daughter of Annette King Meyer and Clifton Sorrells Sr. in Independence. She was a student at the Verelle Peniston State School in Chillicothe. She enjoyed swimming at the YMCA, playing cards,, listening to music, dancing, bowling and animals, especially horses and dolphins. She also loved people of every kind.
She is survived by her mother, Annette K. Meyer of the home; her father, Clifton Sorrells Sr. of Trenton; three brothers, Whitey “Larry” Sorrells and Rashaun Sorrells of Kansas City, and Clifton Sorrells Jr. of Trenton; five sisters, Mika Sorrells, Shawna Sorrells and Shakey Sorrells of Kansas City and Nicki Klingensmith and Sara Meyer of Winston; maternal grandparents, Richard and Phyllis King of Winston; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
The family suggests memorials to the Danielle Nicole Sorrells Memorial Fund. They may be left at or mailed to the Lindley Funeral Home, PO Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
