Bonnie Sue McClure, a 75-year-old resident of the Monterey Park Nursing Home in Independence, died at 8:06 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at the nursing home.

Bonnie Sue McClure, a 75-year-old resident of the Monterey Park Nursing Home in Independence, died at 8:06 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at the nursing home.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2006 at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. Rev. Earl Nance will officiate. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery at Trenton.

Open visitation will begin at noon on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at the funeral home. A family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, 2006 at the funeral home.

Mrs. McClure was born on July 1, 1930 in Bono, AR, the daughter of Charles Franklin and Josephine Ellian Baker King. She attended school in Bono. She was married on Jan. 22, 1949 in Bentonville, AR to Charles Dewayne Ellis. She worked as a nurse’s aide for 30 years, working for Sunnyview Nursing Home and Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton. She was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church in Trenton.

She is survived by a daughter, Gennesse Norland and her husband, Michael, of Blue Springs; four sons, Wilmer Dwayne Ellis and his wife, Waneta, of Martinez, CA, Charles Emery Ellis of Martinez, James Louis Ellis and his wife, Connie, of Trenton, and Bobby Dean Ellis and his wife, Dawn, of Midland, MI; three brothers, James Harold King of Concord, CA, Bobby Louis King and his wife, Darlene, of Ash Flat, AR and Robert Earl King and his wife, Anna Jane, of Oro Valley, AZ; a sister, Linda Lou King of Knob Noster; eight grandchildren, Charla Sue Marriott, Delbert Leroy Marriott, Susan Ellis, Charles Louis Ellis, Lauthern Ellis, Heather Ellis, Shannon Ellis and Megan Ellis; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Marvin Berry.
