A Mass of Christian Burial for Mainard John Kramer will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at the St. Columbans Catholic Church in Chillicothe. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Trenton.

A parish rosary will be said at 6 p.m. (Friday, March 17, 2006 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe, with visitation to follow.

Mr. Kramer, a 77-year-old resident of Chillicothe, died on Thursday, March 16, 2006 at the North Kansas City Hospital. He was a former Trenton resident.

Mr. Kramer was born on Sept. 5, 1928 in Stuart, NE, the son of August and Carrie Ottele Kramer. He was married in Omaha, NE on Oct. 6, 1956 to Myrtle Cartmill, who preceded him in death on Nov. 14, 1997. Mr. Kramer served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a self-employed farmer in the Trenton area. He was a member of the St. Columbans Catholic Church in Chillicothe.

He is survived by one son, David Kramer and his wife, Bonnie, of Minden, IA; five daughters, Deborah Kramer and her husband, Andrew, of Laredo, Brenda Hollingsworth and her husband, Tom, of Blue Springs, Elizabeth Boon and her husband, Mike, of Chillicothe, Theresa Kramer of Lee’s Summit and Patricia Chipps of Trenton; 11 grandchildren, Hilary Kramer of Kansas City, Justin Hollingsworth of Blue Springs, Nicholas, Jacob and Wesley Kramer of Minden, Carrie, Hannah and Sarah Boon of Chillicothe and Jade and Avery Mock and Jeremiah Chipps of Trenton.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parent, two sisters and two brothers.

The family suggest memorials to the Bishop Hogan Memorial School. They may be left at or mailed to the Lindley Funeral Home at PO Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
