Trenton High School Principal Becky Albrecht has been named superintendent of the Trenton R-9 School District.

The announcement of Mrs. Albrecht’s employment was made today. She was one of six individuals interviewed for the position during meetings of the R-9 Board of Education on Friday night and Sunday afternoon.

Mrs. Albrecht will begin her new duties on July 1 and replaces Craig Noah, who will be leaving the R-9 District to take the Nevada School District superintendent’s position. Mrs. Albrecht will receive a salary of $82,000 next school year.

Mrs. Albrecht has been principal at THS the past two years and served as Trenton Middle School Principal for one year. She was an assistant principal at THS for three years and in 1999 was the at-risk instructor at the middle school and high school.

A native of Jameson, Mrs. Albrecht and her husband, Quentin, who teachers social studies at Trenton High School, are the parents of three boys.

The R-9 Board of Education will now begin the process of finding a replacement for Mrs. Albrecht as high school principal. The board will also need to fill the elementary principal’s position, which also becomes vacant at the end of the school year.
