Mrs. Norma L. Hudson, a 79-year-old resident of 210 Northeast Borax Lane at Trenton, died on Friday morning, March 3, 2006 at her home,

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today on Monday, March 6, 2006 at the Slater Funeral Home Trenton. Rev. Jean Osborn officiated. Burial was at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.

Mrs. Hudson was born on May 25, 1926 in Fillmore, the daughter of Norman Lloyd and Alta Spicer Chandler. She graduated from Fillmore High School and also from Trenton Junior College with an associate of arts degree. She had been employed by the Trenton R-9 School District as a teacher’s aide. She was a member of Order Of Eastern Star Chapter No. 23 of Savannah. She was also co-founder of Green Hills Citizens for a Cleaner Environment.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Trenton,.

She was married on Dec. 27, 1945 to Everett L. McAllister, to whom she was married for 38 years. She was married in Las Vegas, NV on March 1, 1987 to Chuck Hudson, who survives of the home.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Eva Cochran and Amy Ward and her husband, Steve; one sister, Alberta Chandler of Savannah; one granddaughter, Laura McDavitt and her husband, Peter; and one grandson, Zachary Cochran and his fiancee, Katie Dunn.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nora J. McAllister on Aug. 22,1969; and her parents.
