Noel R. Davidson, an 84-year-old resident of Euless, TX, died at 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at the Parkwood Health Care in Bedford, TX, where he had been under hospice care.

Noel R. Davidson, an 84-year-old resident of Euless, TX, died at 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at the Parkwood Health Care in Bedford, TX, where he had been under hospice care.

The body was cremated and memorial services will be announced later by the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home at Trenton.

Mr. Davidson was born on May 6, 1921 near Jamesport in Livingston County, the son of John May and Allie May Dockery Davidson. He was raised in the Hickory community. After graduating from high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and served in the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign, World War II and the Korean War. He was commissioned as a chief warrant officer in 1961 and retired from the Navy after 23 1/2 years of service. After retiring, the family moved to Visalia, CA, where Mr. Davidson worked for Tulare County as a property agent for 15 years.

He was married on Sept. 24, 1944 at Pasadena, CA to Rosemary A. Keffer, who preceded in death on July 18, 1994. He was married at Big Bear Lake, CA on Oct. 10, 1995 to Velma L. Ferguson, who preceded him in death on April 8, 2003. He moved to Euless in November 2005 to be near his daughter due to ill health.

He was a member of the Shelburne Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the Trenton Elks Lodge No. 801.

He is survived by one daughter, Denise Davidson of Euless, TX; a son, Roger Davidson of Fresno, CA; two grandchildren, Scott and Alex; and one great-grandson, Noel Quincy.

Besides his parents and wives he was preceded in death by seven sisters and one brother.
