Edna Earl Lager, a 92-year-old resident of Kansas City, died at noon on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006 at the home of a daughter. She was a former Trenton resident.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006 at the Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
A family visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Lager was born at Hickory on Aug. 4, 1913, the daughter of Thomas Milton and Belva Elizabeth Embry Eads. She graduated in 1931 from Trenton High School. She lived in St. Louis during World War II and returned to Trenton in 1949. She was the co-owner and bookkeeper at the Eads Oil Company, retiring in 1980. She also owned the Plaza Beauty Shop for many years. She was active in the Trenton Business and Professional Women’s Club and served as the Missouri State President of that organization in 1965. She was a member of the First Baptist Church for over 70s years.
She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Crone of Kansas City; a son, Bob Lager of Raymore; a sister-in-law, Louise Eads of Trenton; five grandchildren, Ron and Eric Buren and Kelly, Kevin and Craig Lager; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Don Eads; and a grandson, Steve Buren.
