Juanita Ellington, a 96-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 3:51 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006 at the Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton, where she was admitted on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006.

Juanita Ellington, a 96-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 3:51 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006 at the Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton, where she was admitted on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006 at Resthaven Mortuary at Trenton. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens at Trenton. There is no scheduled family visitation planned.

Mrs. Ellington was born Jan. 19, 1910 in Grundy County, the daughter of Burl and Luvie Dudley Beckner. Her family lived on a farm south of the May Corner in Grundy County before moving to a farm near Chillicothe.

After her marriage to Robert Klingensmith in 1930, she lived at Jamesport and Cameron before moving to Trenton. She was married in 1971 to Lewis Ellington, who preceded her in death in 1971.

She was an active member of the Coon Creek Baptist Church, where she played the organ for many years.

Mrs. Ellington is survived by two daughters, Twilah Garrison and her husband, Max, and Miladeen Davis, both of Trenton; a half-sister, Eva Foley of Macon; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Kenneth Beckner; a sister, Marian Cooper; a step-sister, Eula Craig; and a grandson, Lee Garrison.

The family has suggested memorial contributions be made to the Coon Creek Baptist Church in memory of Mrs. Ellington.
