Faye Peery, an 82-year-old resident of Trenton, died on Friday, night, Feb. 17, 2006 at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.

Faye Peery, an 82-year-old resident of Trenton, died on Friday, night, Feb. 17, 2006 at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 20, 2006 at the Edinburg Baptist Church, west of Trenton. Rev. Ron Ward officiated. Burial was in the Edinburg IOOF Cemetery in Edinburg.

Mrs. Peery was born on March 10, 1923 in Brimson, the daughter of L. L. “Dick” and Gladys Boylan Shirley. She attended Brimson schools and graduated from Trenton High School. She was employed by Trenton Foods, retiring in February 1974 She was a member of Edinburg Baptist Church in Edinburg.

She was married at St. Joseph on Jan. 20, 1941 to Harold Peery, who preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 2004.

She is survived by two daughters, Gladys Flowers and her husband, Skeet, of Trenton, and Susan Zacha and her husband, Patrick, of Springfield; one son, Neil Peery and his wife, Maggie, of Trenton; one brother, Lawrence E. Shirley of Brimson; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Elsie Terhune; an infant son, Harold Edward Peery; one son, Richard Peery; and one grandson, Aaron Ray Peery.

Memorials are suggested to the American Kidney Foundation and may be left at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton.
