A workshop on CRP management for quail and small game will be held in Trenton on Friday, March 3 at the Rock Barn.

The workshop, which gets under way at 6:30 p.m., is sponsored by the Missouri Department of Conservation in cooperation with the Natural Resource Conservation Service, the Grundy County Farm Service Agency and the Grundy County Soil and Water Conservation District. Topics will include reasons for quail decline, quail biology and quail habitat needs; how to effectively manage CRP stands for quail and small game; tools and management techniques to make farms more inhabitable for quail and other upland species and the potential Farm Bill programs for wildlife.

Persons wanting to take part in the workshop are asked to contact the Grundy County Soil and Water Conservation District office in Trenton at 660-359-5685, ext. 3, by March 1.
