Funeral services for Martha Ball will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006 at the Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton. Pastor Barry Boulware will officiate. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
A family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, 2006 at the mortuary.
Mrs. Ball, a 90-year-old resident of Sunnyview Nursing Home at Trenton, died at 5:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006 at the nursing home, where she had resided since Feb. 14, 2005.
Mrs. Ball was born on Aug. 16, 1915 in Harrison County, the daughter of Charles and Anna Wolf Hickman. She was raised and attended school near Princeton.
She was married on Dec. 24, 1933 at Brimson to Kenneth Ball, who preceded her in death on April 5, 1982. After living in California and Florida, they moved to Trenton in 1950. She worked at Trenton Foods for 30 years. She was an active member of the Rebekah Lodge No. 15 and did volunteer work at Sunnyview Nursing Home.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Chuck Lankheit of Trenton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene McClure and Helen Hamilton; five brothers, Clate, John, Cliff, Herbert and Bob Hickman; and a grandson, Steve Briegel.
