Raymond Ashford Morris, an 82-year-old resident of Grand River Health Care in Chillicothe, died on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006 at the health care center, where he had been a patient since 2004.

Raymond Ashford Morris, an 82-year-old resident of Grand River Health Care in Chillicothe, died on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006 at the health care center, where he had been a patient since 2004.
Funeral servies will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006 at the Shelburne Cemetgery in Trenton.
Mr. Morris was born in Grundy County on May 22, 1923, the son of W. Herman and Ethel F. Chumbley Morris. He had been a farmer and heavy equipment operator in Grundy and Livingston counties all of his adult life.
He is survived by one daughter, Dottie E. Cox and her husband, Bud, of rural Trenton; a son, Don R. Morris; four grandchildren, Steve L. Cox and his wife, Kim, of Holly, MI, C.W. Rogers-Cox of Oklahoma, Mindi Stewart of Memphis, TN, and Ashley Rhea Morris of Florida; a brother, Richard G. Morris and his wife, Sally of Trenton; a sister-in-law, Ruth Morris of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert L. Morris.
