Pauline Thompson, a 98-year-old resident of Fulton and former Trenton resident, died on Wednesday night, Jan. 18, 2006 at the Callaway Community Hospital in Fulton.

Pauline Thompson, a 98-year-old resident of Fulton and former Trenton resident, died on Wednesday night, Jan. 18, 2006 at the Callaway Community Hospital in Fulton.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006 at the Wise and Slater Funeral Chapel in Spickard. Burial will be at the Spickard Masonic Cemetery in Spickard.

A family visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Open visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral chapel.

Mrs. Thompson was born on April 27, 1907 in Spickard, the daughter of Eli and Mary Ellen Thomas Stewart. She graduated from Spickard High School, then attended Trenton Junior college and Northwest Missouri State at Maryville. She was a retired school teacher, teaching in several schools throughout her career.

She was married at Maryville on Jan. 20, 1930 to Vernal E. “Pinky” Thompson, who preceded her in death on April 22, 1990.

Survivors include three granddaughters, Barbara Mullins of Fulton, Sally Ganey of Atlanta, GA and Caroline Shoger of the state of Texas; two grandson, Dr. John Hart of Wichita, KS and Ed Hart of Princeton; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one daughter, Mary Stark.
