The contractor working on demolition of the site south of the Grundy County Courthouse where the new law enforcement center will be located uncovered an old fuel storage tank during the demolition work.
Grundy County Presiding Commissioner Kenny Roberts said the Missouri Department of Natural Resources was contacted and instructed the commission on how to properly remove and dispose of the small amount of fuel contained in the tank as well as the tank itself. No further action will be required by DNR.
