In time to help persons complete their stories for the new Grundy County history book before the Feb. 1 deadline, a workshop will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14 from 9 a.m. to noon at the First Baptist Church fellowship hall.

Staff members will offer assistance with writing stories and submitted pictures during this workshop. Dennis Paalhar, representing Walsworth Publishing Company, will also attend the session and there will be an opportunity for persons working on family stories to have their pictures scanned. Those who did not wish to submit old or one-of-a-kind pictures for the books may have their photos scanned free of charge at the session.

Members of the staff of “Grundy County and Its People” will answer questions and offer assistance to those needing help with their stories. Persons attending the workshop should bring the information for their stories and the photos to accompany them.

Feb. 1 is the deadline for submission of family stories and for ordering books at the lowest price of $75 per set. Book orders and stories may be submitted to the History Book Committee, PO Box 313, Trenton, MO 64683. After Feb. 1, the price will be $85 for the two-volume set.
