The Grundy County Commission has re-appointed three members to the board of directors of Families and Friends of the Developmentally Disabled.
Serving three-year terms through 2008 will be Dan Wilford, Elizabeth Gibson, and Jeff Jackson Sr. Holdover members of the board are Dorothy Chapman, John Anthony, Ginny Wikoff, Jon Myntti, Larry Leininger and Laura Ewing.
The transaction has been completed for the Families and Friends organization to own an office building at 1510 E. 17th St. in Trenton. The $35,000 purchase was finalized last week. The property was sold by the Grundy County Association of Handicapped Citizens, which is the sponsor of the Grundy County Learning Center. The 17th Street property was donated to the association by the Peter Pan board of directors. It will continue to be used as an office for the executive director and the nine member board of Families and Friends of the Developmentally Disabled.
