Byron Joseph Bibby, a 23-year-old resident of St. Joseph, died on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005 at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005 at the Mercer Assembly of God Church. Rev. Robert Markum will officiate, under the direction of the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Service of Princeton. Burial will be in the Ravanna Cemetery.
Open visitation is now under way at the funeral home, where a family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 o’clock tonight (Monday, Dec. 19, 2005).
Mr. Bibby was born on Dec. 28, 1981 in Ventura, CA, the son of Joseph Byron and Linda JoAnn Kelly Bibby. He lived in Ventura and Wichita Falls, TX as a young boy, moving to Mercer County in 1992. He graduated from Mercer High School in 2000 and received a bachelor of science degree in legal studies from Missouri Western University in St. Joseph in May 2005. He was employed by Wal-Mart as a customer service manager.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Bibby, and step-father, Frank Rodartel of Princeton; a sister, Brandi Bibby of Princeton; his father, Joe Bibby, and step-mother, Shelia, of Ventura; his mate, Jacque Hartley of St. Joseph; his maternal grandparents, John and Peggy Trobee of Princeton; his paternal grandmother, Loretta Bibby of Ventura; aunts and uncles, Darrell Kelly of Owasso OK, Bobby Shriver and Michael Kelly of Princeton, Brenda Morrison of Leavenworth, KS, Karla Garner of Mercer and Cathy Bibby of Ventura; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Floyd “Pat” Kelly Jr.; his paternal grandfather, Bud Bibby; and two uncles, Mike Bibby and Mark Kelly.
