Funeral services for Barbra Barlow will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005 at the Tenth Street Baptist Church in Trenton. Rev. Ron Ratliff will officiate. Burial will be in the Goshen Cemetery, west of Princeton.
Open visitation is now under way at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home, where a family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005.
Mrs. Barlow, a 65-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 5:25 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005 at her home in Trenton.
Mrs. Barlow was born on March 5, 1940 in Spickard, the daughter of Cecil R. and Eliza L. Johnson Burkeybile. She was married on Aug. 4, 1958 at Trenton to Billy Lee Barlow, who preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 1998.
Mrs. Barlow lived in and around the Trenton area all her life. She spent 24 years as a beautician at the Sunnyview Nursing Home. She enjoyed quilting, singing and listening to her husband’s guitar. She was a member of the Tenth Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Bobbi Phillips and her husband, Jon, of Trenton; a son, Billy Barlow and his wife, Carol, of Trenton; two brothers Robert Burkeybile and his wife, Joetta, and Donnie Burkeybile and his wife, Nancy, all of Trenton; one sister, Beatrice Shaw and her husband, Russell, of Trenton; seven grandchildren, J.P. Phillips, Josh Phillips and his wife, Sheila, Jessica Hicks and her husband, Danny, Jared Phillips and his companion Ashley Gardner, Billy Barlow, J.W. Barlow and Ashley Barlow, all of Trenton; and seven great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Riley, Grayson and Kammi Phillips and Kody, Gordon and Cole Hicks.
