Wanda Tuttle Cox, an 87-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 1:50 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, where she had resided the past two years.

Wanda Tuttle Cox, an 87-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 1:50 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, where she had resided the past two years.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005 at the Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton. Rev. Lyle Watkins will officiate. Burial will be in the North Evans Cemetery, northeast of Trenton.
An open visitation is currently under way at the Resthaven Mortuary. The family is at the home of Melvin and Joyce Tuttle.
Mrs. Cox was born on Oct. 9, 1918 in Spickard, the daughter of John and Lela Flowers Cooper. She attended Denslow School and lived in the area nearly all of her life. She was married on Dec. 12, 1937 in Trenton to Lester Tuttle, who preceded her in death on July 20, 1986. She was married on Oct. 27, 1995 in Trenton to Raphael Cox, who preceded her in death on March 27, 2005. She was a member of the Spickard Baptist Church. She enjoyed country music and playing cards.
She is survived by one son, Melvin Tuttle and his wife, Joyce, of Trenton; a daughter-in-law, Julie Tuttle of Cameron; nine grandchildren, Quinn Allen of Trenton, Melody Allen of Warsaw, Deleta Foster of Trenton, Loree Gatewood of St. Joseph, Sarah DeVorss of Spickard, Gary Tuttle of Jefferson City, Jacob Rose of New Mexico, Jeremy Davis of Cameron and Joshua Rose of Cameron; and 28 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; her parents; a son, Larry Tuttle; and a brother, Truman Cooper.
The family suggests memorials to the North Evans Cemetery.
