Hattie May Buckland, a 98-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 11:20 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 21, 2005 at the Eastview Manor Nursing Home in Trenton, where she had been residing since Oct. 5, 2005.

Hattie May Buckland, a 98-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 11:20 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 21, 2005 at the Eastview Manor Nursing Home in Trenton, where she had been residing since Oct. 5, 2005.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005 at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. Bro. Jesse Cass will officiate. There is no scheduled family visitation at the funeral home.
Mrs. Buckland was born on July 20, 1907 in Beaver, OK, the daughter of Simon and Della Etherton Howe. She spent her early years in Spickard. She was married on Jan. 15, 1927 in Trenton to Harold Hill Buckland, who preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 1978. They lived south of Trenton until moving to Trenton in 1953. She was a homemaker and became a Christian at an early age.
She is survived by two daughters, Vernetta Davis and Betty Crow, both of Trenton; one sister, Grace Noland of Des Moines, IA; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
