Plans were developed for the upcoming bond issue and filing dates were set for the April school board election during a meeting Tuesday night of the Princeton R-5 Board of Education.
According to information provided by Superintendent Alan Hamilton, the board discussed the bond issue which, if approved, would provide funds for a new elementary school/gym. Representa-tives from L.J. Hart and Co. of St. Louis were present. Hamilton said the discussion centered on the timetable for the process, the ballot language for the April 4 election and formation of a steering committee.
The filing dates for the April 4 election were set as Dec. 13 through Dec. 17 and candidates may file in the superintendent’s office. The three-year terms of Doug Stark and Dr. Tammy Hart are expiring.
In other business, the board approved the evaluation of the gifted program, heard a report on programs and activities at the Stacy Center, adopted recommended MSBA policy changes and approved administrative revisions to the Title I program. In addition, the superintendent evaluation process was discussed.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for Dec. 12.
