The Trenton FFA chapter will be hosting its annual barnwarming dance on Saturday from 7 to 10:30 p.m. at the Trenton High School vo-ag building.
Eight individuals have been selected as candidates for the 2005 barnwarming royalty. Coronation will take place around 9 p.m. and games will also be played. The cost is $5 per person and the event is open to all THS students.
The freshman queen candidate is Stephanie Bramblett, daughter of Steve and Joyce Bramblett. She has attended the Area II Greenhand Ceremony and has received the Greenhand Degree. She has participated in tennis, soccer and FCCLA.
The freshman king candidate is Cree Beverlin, son of Larry and Lana Beverlin. He has attended Area II Greenhand ceremony, National Officer Motivational Conference and received the Greenhand Degree. He has participated in football, Boy Scouts and basketball.
The sophomore queen candidate is Kristin Geib, daughter of Greg and Michelle Geib. Kristin is currently the chapter junior office reporter. She has attended the national and state conventions. She has received the State Leadership Medal and was a member of last year’s Knowledge Team, which placed first at district competition and fifth at state. She is a member of the THS colorguard.
The sophomore king candidate is Kody Hill, son of Bill and Babette Hill. He has attended Area II Leadership Conference, National Officer Motivational Conference and was on the Agronomy Team. He has received his Greenhand and Chapter degrees. He has participated in FBC Youth, track and was a state qualifier in wrestling last year.
The junior queen candidate is Kelli Grogan, daughter of Cheryl Leffler. She has attended the national convention, American Royal and was a member of the Horse Judging Team. She has received her Greenhand and Chapter degrees. She has participated in volleyball, track and rodeo.
The junior king candidate is Scotty Shull, son of Jim and Karen Shull. While in FFA, he has has attended camp and helped with the cookshack, homecoming float and chapter banquet. He has received the Greenhand and Chapter degrees. He has participated in football and Boy Scouts.
The senior queen candidate is Sabrina Barron, daughter of John and Jodi Barron. Sabrina is currently Area II president and chapter vice president. She has attended the Washington Leadership Conference, the national and state conventions as well as the Area II Officer Training Camp. She has received the State Leadership Medal, Chapter Leadership Medal, Area Degree, and the Chapter Outstanding Junior Award. She has lettered in tennis four years, colorguard three years, and has been a wrestling manager for two years. After graduating, she plans to attend college majoring in agricultural education.
The senior king candidate is Adam McClure, son of Dr. Phil and Marilyn McClure. He has attended the state convention, worked at the cookshack and was a member of the Agronomy Team his freshman year, which placed 10th in the state competition. He has received the Greenhand and Chapter degrees. Adam has participated in football for four years, wrestling for one year, show choir for two years and is a member of Mic-O-Say. After graduating, he plans to attend Linn Tech
