Katie Lee Van Dyke, an 85-year-old resident of Trenton, died at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton on Friday, Oct. 28, 2005. She was a former resident of Laredo.

Katie Lee Van Dyke, an 85-year-old resident of Trenton, died at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton on Friday, Oct. 28, 2005. She was a former resident of Laredo.
Private family graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, 2005 at the Ottumwa Cemetery in Ottumwa, IA. Burial was in the Ottumwa Cemetery.
Mrs. Van Dyke was born on July 9, 1920 at Chula, the daughter of Allen W. and Ora E. Dudley Lee. She graduated in 1938 from Laredo High School and was married on Sept. 22, 1946 at Olathe, KS to Howard M. Van Dyke, who preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 1984. She was a homemaker and worked as a bookkeeper for MFA from 1950 until her retirement in 1971. She was a member of the Eastern Star and was also a member of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by one brother-in-law, L.O. Van Dyke and his wife, Elaine, of East Moline, IL; one sister-in-law, Elaine Coughlin and her husband, Joe, of Hudson, WI; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Charles Lee.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Laredo Fire Department or the Hedrick Medical Center Hospice and may be left at or mailed to the Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Lindley Funeral Home at Chillicothe.
