Gregory Mitchell Woldridge, a 49-year-old resident of the Hickory community, died at 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005 at his residence, where he had been under hospice care.

Gregory Mitchell Woldridge, a 49-year-old resident of the Hickory community, died at 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005 at his residence, where he had been under hospice care.

Funeral services were scheduled for 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, 2005 at the Shelburne Baptist Church. Brother Richard Key officiated. Burial was in the Shelburne Cemetery, southwest of Trenton.

Mr. Woldridge was born on April 7, 1956 at Trenton, the son of Offa and Mary Helen Mitchell Woldridge. He was married on Nov. 2, 1985 to Christina Cooksey, who survives of the home. He was a member of the Shelburne Baptist Church. He farmed all of his life and also worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed woodworking in the garage with his wife.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Logan, and daughter, Callie, both of the home; his mother, Mary Helen of Trenton; two brothers, Larry Woldridge and his wife, Sue, of Trenton, and Gary Woldridge and his wife, Brenda, of San Antonio, TX; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Lena Cooksey of Laredo; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

The family has suggested memorial contributions to either the Wright Memorial Hospice or the Shelburne Cemetery.
