Nellie Mable Duble, a 95-year-old resident of 308 S. Broadway in Princeton, died at 9:08 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, 2005 at the Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.

Nellie Mable Duble, a 95-year-old resident of 308 S. Broadway in Princeton, died at 9:08 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, 2005 at the Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.

The body is cremated an no services are planned.

Mrs. Duble was born on June 26, 1910 on a farm three miles west of Mercer the daughter of Arthur and Martha Mattie McIntosh Mercer. After the death of her parents, she was raised by her grandparents, Alexander and Melinda Elizabeth Perkins McIntosh. She graduated in 1928 from Mercer High School.

She was married on July 13, 1928 to Howard Eugene Duble, who preceded her in death in 1984. After their marriage, they moved to Kansas City, where she was employed at the Jones Department Store and then worked for Remington Arms Ammunition Plant for 11 years. They moved and worked in New York City and on the West Coast before retiring and moving to Princeton to make her home in 1966.

She is survived by three nieces, Mary Ann Olson of Kansas City. Laura Nell, now Mrs. Bernard Albers of Houston,TX, and Kathy Wertz of Dexter; one nephew, Al Duble of Newberg, OR; and numerous cousins.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Mercer; and her dog, Lady.
