Sue Hendren, a 62-year-old resident of Kissimmee, FL, formerly of Gilman City, died on Friday, Oct. 21, 2005.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, 2005 at the Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. Burial will be in the Pilot Grove No. 1 Cemetery, northwest of Jamesport.
A family visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday, prior to the services. General visitation begins at 9 a.m. on Friday.
A memorial service is also planned for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005 in St. Cloud, FL.
Mrs. Hendren was born on Jan. 9, 1943 in Coffey, the daughter of Kenneth Marshall and Mary Elizabeth Lowe Payne. She was married on Aug. 25, 1962 in Gilman City to her childhood sweetheart, Roger K. Hendren, who survives of the home.
Mrs. Hendren was a homemaker and made a career caring for her family. She enjoyed ballgames, car shows and being with her family. She attended the Church of Christ in Kissimmee and had spent the last 34 years in Osceola County, FL. After her retirement, she enjoyed the mountains in North Carolina during the summer months, returning to Florida during the winter to be with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Brad Hendren and his wife, Anne, of St. Cloud and Brian Hendren and his wife, Connie, of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Kirby Payne and his wife, Delynda of Jamesport and Bill Payne and his wife, Dorothea, of Weston; one sister, Julie Bixler and her husband, Steve, of Lee’s Summit; and three grandchildren, Grayson, Meredith and Griffin Hendren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
