Helen M. Stone, a 92-year-old resident of Chillicothe, died on Wednesday morning, Sept. 21, 2005 at the Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.

Helen M. Stone, a 92-year-old resident of Chillicothe, died on Wednesday morning, Sept. 21, 2005 at the Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005 at the Edinburg IOOF Cemetery. Tim Wimmer will officiate. Burial will be in the Edinburg IOOF Cemetery. There is no scheduled family visitation.
Mrs. Stone was born on March 18, 1913 in Green City, the daughter of William Wallace and Vinnie Melton Johnson. She attended Harlan schools in Sullivan County. She lived in Sullivan County until 1978, when she moved to Chillicothe.
She was employed at Trenton Foods until her retirement.
She was married at Reger on March 18, 1933 to Elmer E. Walker, who preceded her in death on May 6, 1961. She was married at Carrollton on Nov. 26, 1962 to Richard Stone, who preceded her in death on April 8, 1993.
She is survived by one daughter, Delores Rhinehart of Chillicothe; one granddaughter, Leanna Howe-Crawford and her husband, Jim, of Plantation, FL; four great-granddaughters, Tanya Howe of Port St. Lucie, FL, Darla Govoni and her husband, David, of Brimfield, MA, Lendy Donoho and her husband, Jimmy of Chillicothe, and Jana Swartz and her husband, Daniel, of Mooresville; two-great-great-grandchildren, Jeri Govoni and Steve Govoni of Brimfield; one sister, Leanna Hastings of Mesa, AZ; one brother, Andy Johnson of Humphreys; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruth Johnson, Hazel Johnson, Lucy Johnson and Corean Merrifield; and five brothers, Hadley Johnson, Victor Johnson, Harvey Johnson, Harp Johnson and Frank Johnson.
