A Trenton man died and two other persons were injured in a two-vehicle accident on Friday night on Highway 6, one mile west of Humphreys.

Stephen Coppock, 43, died at the University of Kansas Medical Center from injuries he received in the accident. The Missouri Highway Patrol said Coppock was the driver of a westbound car that crossed the center line of the road and struck an eastbound vehicle head on. The driver of the other vehicle, Margaret Tipton, 48, of Milan, received serious injuries and was taken to the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. Mrs. Tipton’s husband, James, who was a passenger in the car, received moderate injuries and was taken to Sullivan County Hospital at Milan.
