Connie M. Dixon, a 67-year-old resident of Jamesport, died on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31 2005 at the Jamesport Baptist Church. Burial will be held in the Clear Creek Cemetery near Lock Springs.

General visitation is under way at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Jamesport, where a family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 o’clock tonight (Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005).

Mr. Dixon was born on Feb. 23, 1938 in Carlow, the son of Ray and Eudolpha Dickinson Dixon. He lived in Carlow for several years. He was married on Dec. 24, 1962 at Braymer to Cecelia Wiseman, who survives of the home. The couple made their home in Trenton, moving to Jamesport in July 1971. He was employed by the Missouri Department of Transportation in 1962, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Jamesport Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Dana Urton of Jamesport, Pamela Dixon of St. Joseph, Paula Whitt of Cameron and Darla Dixon of Jamesport; one sister Delores Mann of Independence; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Helen Jean Dixon and Geraldine Snidow.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge. They may be left at or mailed to the McWilliams Family Funeral Homes at 501 N. Locust, Jamesport, MO 64648.
