Alumni Activities This Weekend
Trenton High School will holds its annual alumni activities this weekend, with a number of events planned.
All-alumni activities begin on Friday night with a hospitality mixer at the Riverside Country Club at 6 p.m. The registration and open house will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday in the high school commons. The alumni tennis fest will also get under way at 9 a.m. on the THS tennis courts. An all-alumni dance will be held at 9 p.m. at the Elks Lodge on Saturday, with a second dance scheduled on Sunday from 8:30 p.m. to midnight in the Trenton AMS gym, featuring the Krazy Kats.
Sunday will include the all-alumni brunch at 10 a.m. in the high school commons, during which time officers will be elected at 12:30 p.m. The Riverside Country Club will also be open all weekend for golf.
Individual class events, as published in the alumni newspaper or provided to the Republican-Times, include:
Classes of 1934, 1935 and 1936 – Brunch at Lakeview Restaurant, 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Classes 1937 and 1938 – Lunch at Lakeview Restaurant, 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Class of 1939 – Catered meal at Aquila community room, noon on Saturday.
Classes of 1940, 1941 and 1942 – Social and dinner at the First Christian Church fellowship hall, 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Class of 1943 – Breakfast at Lakeview Restaurant, 9 a.m. on Saturday.
Class of 1945 – Lunch at Dragonfly Cafe, 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Class of 1948 – Lunch at First Baptist Church, noon on Saturday.
Class of 1949 – Breakfast at Lakeview Restaurant, 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Class of 1950 – Catered lunch at First Baptist Church activities building, noon on Saturday.
Class of 1951 – Social at Pleasant View R-6 School at 4 p.m. on Saturday, dinner at 6 p.m.
Class of 1953 – Get-together with finger foods at the home of Sharon Ferris, 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Class of 1954 – Breakfast at Lakeview Restaurant, 9 a.m. on Saturday.
Class of 1955 – His and Her coffee at AMS community room, 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday; social and dinner at AMS community room, 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Class of 1965 – Hosting open house at THS commons, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday; brunch at home of Edna Trump Kitchen, 10 a.m. on Saturday; dinner at Sugg Room of Ketcham Community Center, 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Class of 1975 – Brunch at home of Mary Coon Tracy, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday; dinner at AMS Mall gym, 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Class of 1980 – Dinner at Riverside Country Club, 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Class of 1985 – Get-together at the home of Sabra Simpson Ferguson at 3607 E. 28th St. after the football game on Friday; dinner at Trenton High School, social at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. on Saturday; family get-together at Moberly Park shelter house, 1 p.m. on Sunday (pool will be open).
Class of 1990 – Dinner at Lakeview Restaurant, 6 p.m. on Saturday; family picnic at Moberly Park, noon on Sunday.
Class of 1995 – Family picnic at Crowder State Park enclosed shelter house, noon on Saturday (meat and drink furnished, bring side dish and lawn chair).
Class of 2000 – Family barbecue at Moberly Park, noon on Saturday.
