Paul L. Bain, a 76-year-old former resident of Mercer, died on Sunday morning, Aug. 21, 2005 at the Life Care Center of Brookfield.

Paul L. Bain, a 76-year-old former resident of Mercer, died on Sunday morning, Aug. 21, 2005 at the Life Care Center of Brookfield.
The body was cremated under the direction of the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton. A memorial service will be held later.
Mr. Bain was born on May 17, 1929 in Mercer County, the son of Theodore R. and Daisy Florence Mock Bain. He graduated from East High in Des Moines, IA in 1948. He was a member of the Iowa National Guard in the 1950s.
He is survived by one aunt, Lulu Wiley of Loomis, CA, and one cousin, Lester Arnold of Des Moines.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald Bain.
