A Trenton girl is in fair condition at the North Kansas City Hospital after receiving injuries in an accident Friday night east of Trenton.

Kelly Tredway, 16, of 115 Kavanaugh, was a passenger in a truck that overturned on NW 5th Street east of Trenton around 8 p.m. on Friday. The Missouri Highway Patrol said Miss Tredway was one of three persons in the truck, which was eastbound and went off the right side of the road. As the driver overcorrected, the truck slid off the road and into a ditch on the left side, overturning once before coming to rest on its wheels. The vehicle, which was owned by Dustin G. Wilson, then caught fire and was destroyed. The driver, 15-year-old Brooke Wilson of 614 DeBolt, and another passenger, 16-year-old Danielle Wood of 7104 E. 8th, pulled Miss Tredway from the vehicle.

Miss Wilson and Miss Wood both received minor injuries and were taken to Wright Memorial Hospital for treatment and then released. Miss Tredway was initially taken to Wright Memorial Hospital, then lifeflighted to North Kansas City.

The patrol said information about the incident has been referred to juvenile authorities.
