The Mercer County Fair kicked off activities Wednesday night at Princeton with a number of events.
Results from the poultry show include Emily Schwenneker of Princeton, grand champion rooster, grand champion hen and poultry showman ship; Sara Stockwell of Princeton, reserve champion rooster; and Sierra Bruse of Princeton, grand champion and reserve champion in the open show.
Winners in the rabbit show include Sara Stockwell, grand champion buck and grand champion doe; Dynelle Hendricks of Cainsville, reserve champion buck, reserve champion doe and showmanship; Jasmine Mathews of Princeton, grand champion rabbit in the open show; and Fallen Priest of Princeton, reserve champion rabbit in the open show.
The swine show results included Steven McCulley of Harris, grand champion boar and grand champion gilt; Tony Floyd of Princeton, reserve champion boar; Amy McCormack of Unionville, reserve champion gilt; Calvin Stoner of Ridgeway, grand champion market hog and 13-and-under showmanship; Samantha Rinehart of Ridgeway, reserve champion hog; and Tanner Pickett of Princeton,l 14-and-over showmanship and the Raymond and Wyona Memorial Showmanship award. County performance winners were Holly Wilson of Spickard, first and third, and Tanner Pickett, second.
Open class exhibit winners were Maggie Hughes, floriculture; Grace Corder, handicrafts and household arts; Danny Shew, fine arts; and Logan Dunkin, farm produce.

Kanden Uthe, Gerald and Kelly Uthe of Winston.
4 to 6 months, girls – 1. Mckenzie Dunkin, Greg and Cristal Dunkin of Spickard; 2. Natile Ray, Thomas and April Ray of Bethany; 3. Riley Whitt, Christina Whitt of Spickard. There were no boy entries.
