Results have been announced from the Gilman City Fair, which was held July 15-17.
There were 49 head of cattle in the livestock show. Winners included Blake Baugher of Trenton, supreme champion bull; Taylor Whitney of Gilman City, reserve champion bull; Kelli Shepard of Bethany, supreme champion heifer; Dillon Bird of Gallatin, reserve champion heifer; Kara Gibson of Eagleville, champion market steer; Savannah Cox of Jamesport, reserve market steer; Taylor Whitney, junior showmanship; and John Runde of Gilman City, senior showmanship.
There were 85 head of sheep in the sheep show. Winners included Colter Hill of Jamesport, supreme champion ram and supreme champion ewe; Shelby Young of Bethany, reserve champion ram and reserve champion ewe; Stephanie Thomas of Cainsville, champion market lamb; Erin Moore of Princeton, reserve market lamb; Mitchell Andrews of Grant City, junior showmanship; and Erin Moore, senior showmanship.
There were 46 head of hogs in the swine show. The winners were Jonathan Oram of Gilman City, supreme champion boar; Kyle Croy of Gallatin, reserve champion boar and reserve champion gilt; Wyat Gibson of Ridgeway, supreme champion gilt and reserve champion market barrow; Kyla Payne of Gilman City, champion market barrow; Calvin Stover of Ridgeway, junior showmanship; and Jonathan Oram, senior showmanship.
Winners in the baby show were:
0 to 6 months, girls – 1. Haily Eads, 2. Ashley Chalfant, 3. Destini Mitchell; boys – 1. Jaren Zerbe, 2. Kaden Uthe, 3. Levi Johnson.
7 to 12 months, girls – 1. Lux-Aaliya Brown; boys – 1. Jaden Finney, 2. Hunter Cowell, 3. Branden Vera.
13 to 18 months, girls – 1. Jessica Whitt, 2. Sidney Gibson. There were no boys.
19 to 24 months, girls – 1. Carly Turner, 2. Jolee Ward. There were no boys.
25 to 36 months, girls – 1. Daliene Whitt; boys – 1. Jacob Zerbe, 2. Aden Whitt.
Winners in the talent show included;
Elementary – 1. Kailey Salmon and Aubrey Burns, dance; 2. Emily Dennert, piano solo; 3. Thane Ward, vocal.
Teen – 1. Katie Dennert, flute solo.
